∙ 12y agoMost mobile services you have to pay for the internet, and if you have done so you should be able to connect to the internet by hitting the web button on your phone whenever you have service. If not, some phones can pick up wifi and you can use the internet whenever you're around free wifi but not every mobile phone can do that.

2 Turn on Wireless Internet on the phone if it is not already active.
3 Scan for available networks. Usually phones have a button to do this, or do it when you try to set up a new connection.
4 Choose the network you want to use from the list that appears. There may be many different networks in one area, so if you're unsure which one to connect to, ask someone who knows.
5 Provide the necessary security login information for the network if prompted to. If connecting to a coffeehouse or public network, ask an employee for the login information.
6 Open your phone's browser software and connect to a website.
