You can go into system link, which is multiplayer to play with friends around you. That answer does not make sense to me but could be accurate.
As far as I Know. Without the internet you can only play people next to you with there own controller on your console and you can call it co-op split screen or multiplayer that depends on what the game allows. I was surprised when I learned how many games could only play against someone online and not on the same console.
you can not use the internet without connecting. It might be possible to give the PS3 updates using another source to download the update, but you would still be using the internet to do that.
yes you can connect to the internet with ethernet cable. To enter the network you must be online and to be online you must have a Broadband internet service and some form of connection device/s that will allow either WiFi or ethernet connection to the PS3
by lan... use a lan cable that goes from a router to the ps3 lan port
It is the ability for the PS3 to comment to an internet source without you having to purchase something that must be connected to the PS3. It does not allow you to connect if you don't have a wireless internet connection,
There is no internet piece to put on the PlayStation 3. Out of the box the PS3 can connect to the internet both wired and wirelessly. To use the wireless you must have a wireless internet connection though.
The PS3 must be connected to a broadband internet service with WiFi or an ethernet cable. The USB ports will not allow an internet connection
no u must use an ethernet cable or wireless internet For most people who do not have a wireless connection in their home they must also purchase at least a router to allow a connection between the cable modem and the PS3. An ethernet cable allows a wired connection between the PS3 and the router and if running a cable is a problem you need to purchase a wireless router. Although I purchased a wireless router I found that the wired connection worked better and the wireless router also had four wired connection spots on the back.
yes and no. yes its free if you have your own wireless. and no because you have to pay for the internet. or you could steal someones connection (none) . ^_^ T H I E F The ads for the PS3 tell you you must have internet service. Once you are connected to the internet Sony or the PlayStation network only charge for purchases that you make and must pay for when you make them. Browsing on the internet is free after you have paid your local provider for your internet connection or if you live in a hot zone and can connect with WiFi.
You have to have wireless internet and then the PS3 has the ability to connect to it.
You can not share your phone wireless internet with your PS3. The PS3 will search for a WiFi connection and if one is found it can be used to connect to the internet. If you have internet service it is not a problem to connect to the PS3
Your PS3 must have a wireless adapter installed if you want to connect to the internet wirelessly. Otherwise, if you don't you will have to use an Ethernet cable. If you have a wireless adapter installed on your PS3. You will need to connect it to your wireless router. Go to the wireless network menu on your PS3. Find the (SSID) network name of your network. Connect to it!
First you need a wireless internet connection before you can connect the PS3 to wireless internet. You can not connect the PlayStation without already having internet service. If you have wireless internet service then you go to the PlayStation 3 settings to network connections. If you do not have a wireless internet, but have internet service you purchase a wireless Router and install it first before going to the PS3 setting for network connection. You can also connect a wired system running an ethernet cable from your router to the back of the PS3 and then going to the setting for network connection.
All PS3 but the first 20 GB model are wireless. That means if you already have a wireless internet connection they can connect to it.
No you can not connect the PS3 to the internet with a phone
Yes that is correct the only way you can connect a PS3 to the internet is either through the Ethernet cable or through the WiFi wireless connection to a Broadband internet service. The USB ports can not be used to connect the PS3 to the internet in any manner.
Sony has not released a wireless adapter specifically for the PS3; however you may purchase a wireless internet bridge and connect that way. anonymous@oola.com
Yes with a wireless router and connect the PS3 by the ethernet port to a wireless ethernet bridge. see related link
PS3 has the ability to have a wireless connection or a wired connection to the internet. It does not have wireless internet, you must purchase a broadband internet service. Many people already have broadband internet service for a PC and need a router to allow them to connect the PS3. A router will allow two or more items to be connected to the internet service. A wireless router will allow them to connect wirelessly if they both have a wireless connection capability like the PS3 and also allow them to be connected with an ethernet cable for a wired connection.
If the PS3 is already wireless then it should connect to any internet network via a wireless router. Sony's PS3 support site has all the information you need for your setup.
If you go to setting, scroll ALL the way down to network settings there should be Internet connection set this to wireless and it should scan for a wireless connection then you must enter your password etc...
