How to cook
Italian Meatballs What can you say about a meatball recipe, other then these meatballs are excellent and should be made BIG.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground meat.
4 eggs.
4 slices white bread (soaked in water and then squeeze the majority of the water out of the bread) .
1 tsp. garlic salt.
1 hand full of Romano cheese.
4 strands parsley.
1 tbs. basil.
1 tsp. salt and pepper. 1.Combine all ingredients together and form the meat into balls.
2. Once the meat is formed, fry the meat in a large frying pan until cooked and browned.
3. If you are making Italian sauce with meatballs, add them to your sauce about an hour before the sauce is done.
4. Serve them as a sandwich on bread or with a pasta dish. ANOTHER ANSWER: My father used to add bread crumbs to them, sautee them in red wine overnight and bake them in the oven. Oh my God, they were awesome. He will be miss for that alone! TRY NOT TO FRY THEM IN A FRYING PAN IF YOU CAN HELP IT! BAKE THEM ON A COOKIE SHEET.
You get ground beef and use bread crumbs and eggs and onions and seasonings and mix it all in a bowl and it depends how large or small you want your meatballs and roll them and place them either in a frying pan with oil or bake them 350 in oven

Try this recipe I got from some Dutch friends. They're simple and delicious, and don't have onions. 500g(1 lb) ground beef, 2 cups breadcrumbs, 2 eggs,1/2 cup dried parsley, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg,1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper. It's best to let the mixture sit in the refrigerater overnight. Roll into balls about 2 inches in diametre, flatten them a little and fry them on low to medium heat for about 10 minutes per side. They're great with sauerkraut and potatoes.

hire a butcher to cut a pig up then cut the meat into little balls then smear lemon juice and lard on the balls and bake in the oven at 45degrees for56minutes. when done pull them out of the oven and dump pickle juice on the meat balls and enjoy
To make the mixture combine your beef mince with an egg and about a handful of dried breadcrumbs. Shredded pParmesan is also nice to include in the mixture. If you're making it in a pasta sauce just drop them in and wait for the mince to be cooked through (mince needs to be cooked through completely before serving test meatballs by cutting a thick one in half with the edge of a fork or knife or spoon, and see if it is brown all the way through). Make all meatballs the same size, so they all cook evenly, and none are raw or overcooked.

Because the meatballs are baked and not fried, they won't fall apart when turned over.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Combine all ingredients except cooking spray in a bowl; stir well. Shape mixture into 30 (1 1/2-inch) meatballs. Place on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until done.
When I make spaghetti and meatballs...I cook the meat balls separate either in the over or in a frying pan while I'm cooking my noodles. After the meatballs are done I add them to my sauce and then let it warm up. After your noodles are done...you can drain them and add all of the ingredients together. A good tip to keep your noodles from sticking together is to add some butter after you drain them. It works like a charm everytime! Hope I was helpful. But if you need to know how to actually make the meatballs then feel free to get in touch with me. I would be glad to help. I'm love to cook. =o)

A good appetizer recipe for meatballs is sweet and sour meatballs. The recipe is: For sauce, in a large skillet stir together cranberry sauce and barbecue sauce. Cook over medium heat until cranberry sauce is melted, stirring occasionally.Add meatballs to sauce. Cook, uncovered, for about 10 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally. Serve immediately or keep meatballs warm in a slow cooker on low setting to serve. Makes 16 servings.
If porcupine meatballs are the same as most other meatballs, i.e. cooked in the oven in balls the same size, then no thereis no need to double the cooking time.
