Use a card reader, as cheap of $5. Insert your SD card in the reader slot. Connect the reader to computer. Computer understands there is an external SD connected to it. So rest is as easy as drag and drop folders

∙ 8y agoNB This is for an XP computer, a Canon camera, and a card that has already been formatted . If you do not format the card first the camera will not be able to read it.
1. Open "My Computer" (Will show A Drive, C Drive etc)
2. Put Card Reader into USB socket in computer
(Shows "Removable Disk " and Drive No. [eg F])
3. Put SD card into slot in Card Reader
(Box will show asking what you want to do: click "OK" for "Open Folder to view files using Windows Explorer")
4. Another Box opens labelled with the Drive No [eg F] and a File [eg DCIM] shows.
5. Go to the Icon bar and click on "Folders" (next to the "Search"option) to expand the File tree , then click on the File you want to open [eg DCM].
6. It will show "103 Canon" or similar , and clicking on it will show all the pictures you have taken.
7. Go to where you have stored your photos on your computer
[eg G\My Documents\My Pictures \....]
8. Right-click on the photo you want to put on the SD card, and select "Copy" or "Cut".
(For more than one photo hold down the "CTRL" button after the firest selection; for the whole lot go to "Edit" and "select All".)
9. Scroll up or down to where you want to put them [eg "103 Canon" as in step 6], Right-click on it and select "Paste".

∙ 11y agoYou will need a sd card adaptor if your computer has a sd card slot just insert it that's all i know.
Most cameras have a camera to computer connection and allow you to download direct.
Some printers have multiple card readers and allow you to download from there. You can purchase a multi connection card reader from most photographic shops or pc shops such as Currys PC World.
Once you have made the connection to your computer an icon will appear on the screen. Double clicking on to it will open it up and you should be able to copy them to you hard drive.

1 if the sd card is in the phone or tablet or camera plug in the device with the usb cable and transfer the details. but for this you should have the driver of the particular device installed on the pc .
2 use a SD card reader and use it as a pendrive.
