P1762, governer pressure sensor offset volts too high or low. The sensor has most likely failed.. It is located on the valve body in the transmission,
P1762 Pretty sure that is "Governor Pressure sensor voltage too low." You will need part numbers: 4617210- solenoid and 56027720 and transducer. All you need to do is drop the pan and they will be in the passenger side front of the tranny on the valve body. The code p1762 in a Grand Cherokee shows possible transmission problems. Low transmission fluid could be the cause. Make sure that the fluid is full then check again.

Any other codes? Check to see if any wires are pinched or melted to exhaust. If not then swap with new part and see what happens. If it doesn't work return part and post type of car with question.
