Use a Chevrolet Socket Part number 870245 (a hammer). Seriously though there is usually a control module under the driver's side dash.

2I would recomend taking it to the dealer because if it says LOC on the radio they have a code to get rid of it. 3Check your owners manual, sometimes it has a procedure in it for deactivating that system. In a ford I just had to leave the key in it for 10 minutes in the correct ignition position, and then it started right up.
