Purchase a spark plug spark checker at your local auto parts store, unplug each plug and check for fire to the plug while turning over.

it might not have spark, or the fuel pump could be bad, among many other things. i would go to a garage to have them diagnose

Try to diagnose the problem and fix it.

Answer: Intermittent problems are very hard to diagnose. Your no start problem may be your fuel pump. Try to check it for pressure during the not start problem. Also, check for spark at the spark plugs. From what you described, your problem could be the coil module, the cam angle sensor or the crank angle sensor.

my car no start I check the spark ignition on the wires an they don't have how can fix the problem....

Does it turn over? yes Does it have spark? yes Does it have fuel?yes

change out your spark plugs and then your spark plug wires..if its still missing then it could be a fuel problem..did it start doing it when you filled up on fuel?

for this I would loosen the exhaust in front of the converter see if it will run . This was the problem with my 4 cyl s10. The convereter was clogged

A 1997 Mercedes Benz E320 that turns over but won't start may not be getting enough fuel or may have no spark. Connecting the vehicle to an OBDII code reader will help diagnose the problem.

Possible crank/cam sensor problem

An engine which cranks but will not start is not receiving enough fuel or has no spark. A clogged fuel filter or bad spark plugs often cause this problem.

My 94 Lumina APV (3.8L) would not start (when warm) - cranked but acted as if no spark or fuel. Mechanic replaced computer @ $350 (said too many error codes to diagnose problem) - did not resolve problem. Then he replaced the camshaft position sensor (CMP) @ $125 - that solved the problem. PB

power, ie battery, then starter, then spark, then fuel

You would diagnose the problem and either fix it or scrap the vehicle.

Not much info to go on. Ask a trusted mechanic in your area to diagnose it for you.

There could be so many problems. Batery, starter, alternator, serpentine belt, no spark... the list is endless. spark plugs? spark plugs?

A 2003 Chevy Suburban will crank but not start if it has no spark or fuel. Checking for a clogged fuel filter or fouled spark plugs can help to resolve the problem.

If you can start it by jumping across the solenoid, you have a problem in the wiring or the switch itself. If you do not have a multitester, this could be a very difficult problem to diagnose. Take it to a mechanic.

My 95 sunfire had the same problem and my fix was a new fuel pump a little more info would help diagnose the problem better.

It is likely a problem with the carburetor if a lawn edger won't start. It may have clogs which are preventing the spark at the plug.

Several problems can cause a 1999 Blazer not to start. There could be a fuel problem or a firing problem. Check for fuel pressure and ignition spark first.

It is probably an ignition problem. The spark is becoming intermittent at high RPM'sStart with replacing spark plugs

Start by replacing all the spark plugs. If that does not solve the problem then replace the spark plug wires.
