I need to know to same...somebody HELP!!!
Hi my name is jeff, on my 1985 corvette there is a little black box about the size of my hand with several wires going in2 it. this box is located on the passanger side by the ecm...i believe if you just unplug it that it will not effect anything else but the little light that says security when the door is open...on another note if you jiggle the key back and fourth really fast from the accesory on to start position wile the alarm is going of.. it starts!!!!!!!! that is on mine anyways lol
To disable the alarm system on the 2002 Honda Odyssey, just use the key fob to turn the system off. You can then use your vehicle's manual to learn how to disable the passive alarm system. This generally involves a series of steps that include turning the ignition key on and off and honking the horn.
The most common cause is that the rechargeable battery in the alarm siren is failing, giving a low voltage to the alarm system. When the voltage from he battery drops below a certain level the alarm system thinks someone is trying to disable the alarm by disconnecting the battery. As it thinks someone is trying to disable the alarm, it sets the alarm off.
