You don't disable it. All you do is take it out. Open the compartment that is accesible in the driver's side dash when you open the driver's side door. The area is pretty cramped and it is hard to get to, but the door chime is tucked back in there. The only way I know to describe it is a small black box with a hole in it for the sound to come out. I don't remember it having any markings on it. I just listened for a while to find out exactly where it was coming from.
No... 1999 to 2001 will work only for those model years. we tried sticking a 98 into a 2001 and it fits but won't work because of the sensors
2.0 4cyl has 2 2.7 6cyl has 4
A person should know the location of the sensors in a vehicle. The IAT sensor is located on the air intake housing of this vehicle.Ê
all
airbag sensors are usually located behind bumper look for sensors most connectors will have YELLOW end
Hidden, where you can't see them to disable them.
4, 2 before the converter on each bank and 2 after(downstream).
2 upstream and 2 downstream for a total of 4 O2 sensors.

There are 2 oxygen sensors.1 is in front of the catalytic coverter and 1 is located behind the coverter
on my 2002 tdi sport there is a switch down by off side middle door pillar which turns sensors off
If the check engine light it on a 2002 Hyundai Accent on one of the sensors is malfunctioning. The computer is acknowledging this and alerting the driver that there is a problem in the engine.
Unplug one of the wheel speed sensors and the whole system becomes disabled.
on top of the intake held on by two 10 mill bolts
You can disable the light, but the problem is probably caused by dirty wheel speed sensors. They are very easy to clean. It only takes about half an hour. Here are instructions on how to do it. http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-17/how-cleaning-wheel-speed-sensors-faq-37434/
As far as I know, there are 4 oxygen sensors on a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe. 1 upstream sensor and 1 downstream sensor located in the front manifold/exhaust and 1 upstream and 1 downstream sensor located in the rear manifold/exhaust.
Press the button on the sensor at the top of the pillar between the front and rear doors.
O2 sensors on all vehicles are located in the exhaust system. Start at the exhaust manifold(s) and visually work your way back, you will find them.
On the exhaust pipe. One is under the "HOT" plate, one is under the engine.
when ur car cutoff &it has to sit for 15 to 20min for it to start back up what cause that problem
The sensors can be checked with an oscilliscope, graphing multimeter or for frequency(not anywhere near as good). Resistance values are meaningless with the type of sensor used.
There are two O2 sensors, one is between the exaust manifold and the catalyst converter and the other right after it.
The air flow sensors are located on the intake tract between the air filter and the throttle body.

THERE ARE 4 O2 SENSORS. BOTH FRONT O2 SENSORS ARE LOCATED ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND THE REARS AFTER THE MANIFOLD/CAT. BANK 1 SENSORS ARE LOACTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE AGAINST THE FIREWALL. BANK 2 SENSORS ARE LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE OR RADIATOR SIDE.
