You can do this by locating the dinger under the dash and unplugging it. Once you have this unplugged, it will not make the sound anymore.
Pull the key out just a little and the chime will stop. It may be controlledfrom the radio
You can unplug it. Its under the dash board
take the key out of the ignition switch.
put the key in the ignition and turn it clockwise
The chime module is under the dash on the right of the steering column. To disable the Key-in ignition warning chime simply cut the Black/Pink wire. Its a 7 pin harness going into a large black box. Easy test is to put your key in, open the door and hold the black box with the wire harness still attached next to your ear. Then simply cut the wire to quiet it.
The ignition key should turn the disable switch.
To disable it or put it on again . Turn ignition key on and off 4 times
You could have an electrical problem that causes the warning to not trigger. If you are using a copied key, it may not register with the warning system.
snip the wire running to the beeper
I believe that wire is for the key is in the ignition warning buzzer! Not 100%, but 90%.
No there is no chip in the key however the ignition lock cylinder does enable and disable the theft system.
pull the cover off the steering column and there should be a wire connected to the ignition switch. pull it off and put the key in the switch.
