there should be a plug under the seat that you disconnect.

you can't, they now have sensors in the seats to detect if you are in the seat or not, it's no longer as simple as just wiring around the seat belt connector.

i have a 2004 Chevy col, and my chimes and seat belt make NO NOISE. the person before me took out the factory radio, and the chimes, and seat belt buzzer, ran through the radio.

Put your seat belt on
Pull the seat belt around you and buckle it up. The alarm will then go off. If the alarm stays on, take the car to your Chevy dealer for repair. This repair will be done under warranty. The seat belt buzzer is there for a reason BUT if you really want to disable the buzzer it only takes a couple of seconds to reach under the drivers seat and JUST UNPLUG the wiring harness plug and guess what-- no more noise. put the belt oni believe it is a positive contact switch so take the 2 wires that lead to the female belt receptor and cut them, then solder them together...this should do it.
I asked the question,but I finally found the flasher on a mounting plate above the glove box along with the seat belt buzzer and key buzzer

There should be a wire coming out of the bottom of the seat belt receiver where it's bolted to the floor. Simply unplugging it should do the trick.
