How do you disassemble a 12 gauge model 775A Savage Arms?

Take magazine end cap off first. Remove forearm then Barrel this is not total breakdown but it will be in most interest of most people.

The bolt can be removed also by knocking out pin from left side there is a hole on left side of receiver. For this purpose a punch should be used. A screwdriver won't standup to what is needed to remove it.

When you take out that pin the bolt latch on bottom of receiver will come out with the spring then just push the bolt out through receiver. I might add you still have to take action spring out first take of stock, and you will see a long metal piece inside.

There is a spring its under very high tension, and it could cause harm to you. Be careful with this spring. Getting it out is easy; getting it back in is another story. You have to push it back and hold it under pressure until you get the other screwdriver to help. You need two screwdrivers to do this, but with patience in can be done.

The rest of the firearm can be reassembled actually the reverse order of disassembly.
