How do you install sims life stories to a mac?

I was installing for my sister and I felt stupid for not seeing this. I assume you have the Mac version.

1. Put the disk in and open the window of it

2. look at the bottom of the window and notice the instructions...

3 As the instructions, drag the "The Sims 2" icon onto the icon of the drive you want to install it on (Macinstosh HD, or something similar, if you only have one hard drive), and wait for it to finish copying.

4 get a no CD crack:) Why not, you bought the game (or not, but then this wouldn't work.)

The first answer is 100% correct: if you want to install the game on a Mac Operating System, you need to purchase the Mac version of the Sims2 (including all expansion packs). The Mac versions are more difficult to find, and are typically more expensive than the Windows versions.

If you happened to purchase a Windows version, you are not completely at a loss. For it to work, you will need to create a Windows partition (which is a part of your harddrive space that has a Windows Operating System installed on it) using the Boot Camp software, which already comes pre-installed on all Macs. Please note: you will also need to purchase a copy of whichever Windows OS you want to use, if you don't already have one. (The game works with XP, Vista, and Windows 7 Operating Systems).

Then you simply load the Windows partition and install the game.

If you want less of a hassle, then you can purchase the Sims3, which is packaged with both Mac and Windows versions on the same disc. If you choose to go this route, however, you will find that the game play is a bit different, and that the players' ability to customize the world is more limited with the Sims3. Some people, myself included, still prefer the Sims2 over the Sims3, even though we have both. It's all about personal preference.

Well for Mac it's a little bit more complicated than Windows. You have to have the Sims 2 Mac disk, not the Windows. It will tell you on the box whether it is for Windows or Mac. Then just follow the instructions on the screen when installing.
