### How would you trace ray diagram that shows all the images?

Ray diagrams are drawings that use simple geometry to locate an
image formed by a mirror. In order to draw a ray diagram, first
sketch the situation; draw the location and arrangement of the
mirror and the position of the object with respect to the mirror.
Construct the drawing so that the object and the image distances
are proportional to their actual size. Then, draw to rays on your
diagram. Draw the first ray from the object perpendicular to the
mirror's surface. Since it makes and angle of 0 degree with the
normal to the mirror, the angle of reflection also equals 0 degree,
causing the ray to reflect back on itself.
Draw the second ray from the object to the mirror, but this time
place the ray at an angle that is not perpendicular to the surface
of the mirror. Then draw the reflected ray. Next, trace both
reflected rays back to the point from which they appear to have
originated, which is behind the mirror. Use dotted lines to draw
the rays to distinguish them from the actual rays of light. By
continuing this process for all other parts of the object, you will
be able to locate the complete virtual images for the object.

### What is the first step in constructing a congruent segment?

It is to label two points.
Wrong answer! You need to draw a ray first, Here is the official
Steps:
Step one: Draw a Ray with endpoint C
Step two: Use the Compass to measure the length of Point A and
B
Step three: Use the same compass setting, put the compass point
on point C.
Then draw an arc that intersects the ray. THEN Label the
points of intersection D.

### What are the different steps in a ray diagram?

Given the position of the lense:
Draw a base line (a straight line) with the size of object
(shown by an upright arrow) and any other information given (focal
length, postion of lense etc.). If given, skip to next step
Extend the lense (can be omitted, skip if given)
Draw the first ray through the middle the lense
Draw a second ray to the lense parallel to the base line, then
draw a line, cutting the focal length of lense (at the opposite
side of object)
Draw a third ray down the focal length before the lense, then a
parallel line after the lense
The image would be at the intersection point of 3 lines (2
lines would also mean the formation of an image)
If they seem to spread further out, the image would be formed
at the same side of object.

### Is it possible to draw two angles that share a common vertex but do not share a common side?

Yes (supposing that by side you mean ray...angles don't have
sides because they are 2D, not 3D.) If you have a point and you
draw four random rays from that point, that only meat at that
point, then you would have created four angles. The two angles on
opposite sides of the point will share a vertex, but not a RAY.

### What is an open half line?

A line which has one end, but stretches off to infinity is
called a ray. If we want to show an interval such as [2,infinity)
which means all the numbers between two an infinity including two,
we put a close dot at two and draw a ray going to the right.
Similarly for (negative infinity, 2] we draw the closed dot at 2
but this time the ray goes to the left. Now if we draw an open
circle, or a the out line of a dot this mean the interval
(2,infinity) where we are considering all the numbers very close to
two but not two itself This is an open half line and it represents
an open interval.
