Drain the oil. Take the bolts out of the oil pan. Hold the oil pan from underneath and tap both sides with a rubber mallet. It may take some force to break the seal with the gasket and silicone. Also, if it's a 4x4, you may have to unbolt the engine from the engine mounts and jack the engine up from the crankshaft pulley. after the oil pan is out of the way... look up into the engine. You will seel the oil pump toward the back and it should be easy to unbolt.
