How do you clone your Pokemon in Pokemon LeafGreen version?

You can, but it is very difficult. First, go to the GTS and then speak to the woman that lets you trade online. Then if you haven't submitted any Pokemon, Submit the one you want to clone.Now for the tricky part, sorry. You know in the bottom right hand corner of the text bow theres a spinning thing. On its 6th or 7th, turn off the ds and then go back on to the gts,If it worked you will have a Pokemon in your party(or PC) and the same one in the gts and then all you have to do is take it out. This dosent always work though.

Pokemon and Item Cloning:

Select the Pokemon that you want to clone. Give it any items needed too. Put it in any of your boxes. Now, go to the GTS. Talk to the lady and enter. Put up a Pokemon for trade (NOTE: Try this with a low-level Pokemon who doesn't have an important item first). When it takes you to the loading screen, watch the little clock on the bottom-right part of the screen. Count how many times it hits the top, and note where it was when the Pokemon was uploaded. Go back to the summary screen, and take out the Pokemon. Once again, watch the clock. Most people's clock stops moving between 7.5 and 8 rotations.

Now, put the Pokemon that you want to duplicate up for trade. Right before the clock gets to the interval where it changes, turn off the DS. Turn it back on, and load the game. You will probably get the error screen, but don't worry. Continue to load the game, and go back to the GTS. If you performed the glitch correctly, the Pokemon will still be up for trade. Take it back, and leave. Now, go to the PC to the left of the counter. Load it up, and check your boxes. If you performed the glitch right, you will have duplicates of the Pokemon (and possibly item) that you tried to clone.

If you didn't get it, try, try again. It took me about 13 times to get it. Just keep trying.

NOTE: This glitch is very risky. Several GameFAQs members have reported it to screw up their game. Several other members reported their Pokemon being traded before they could get back to it. Though the number is very small (about 3/100 people), it still is a risk. Don't say you haven't been warned. To prevent the second problem from happening, request an evolved Pokemon that is level 9 or lower (eg. Infernape).

This cheat has been proven by hundreds of players on the serebii forums... Maybe thousands. No damage to either save file or game has ever been proven.

Note: Use this code at your own risk. It may corrupt your save data if done incorrectly.

Go to a PC, and save. Attach the item you want to duplicate to the Pokemon you want to clone. Deposit it into the PC any box exept box 6. Change to box 6. when the text box says saving wait until the entire sentence appears and before the ding sound appears to finish the save turn the system off. You should have the deposited Pokemon in the PC, and a clone of it in your lineup. The item will either be on both monsters, or in your Backpack. Note: while doing this code, DO NOT withdraw any Pokemon. When the GB is turned back on, you'll find that the withdrawn Pokemon has been deleted. Note: You can duplicate up to 5 items/Pokemon at a time

1. Go to the battle frontier.
2. Go to the battle tower.
3. Logon to the PC.
4. Make sure BOX 9 is empty. Deposit the Pokemon you want to clone into Box 9.
5. Exit the PC and Save the game.
6. Withdraw the same Pokemon you just deposited.
7. Go to the lady to your far right.
8. Start a battle, making sure it is an Open-Level Battle.
9. Select any 2 Pokemon but do not select the Pokemon you wish to clone!
10. When the lady starts saving your game you will notice a Pause before the game is saved. Turn off your Gameboy at that point!
11. Reboot your game. In your party the original Pokemon will be there. But in the empty box you will find the cloned Pokemon.

To duplicate a in Pokemon: Crystal place the Pokemon, then switch to a separate slot on Bill's PC, turn off the power before it is finished saving. This will duplicate the Pokemon.

you can not clone on Pokemon leafgreen. you can only clone on Pokemon gold silver crystal and emerald. sorry
