To get ribbons go to the contest hall in Hearthome and for defeating the elite four, also if you west of Sunyshore City along the beach you will see a house (Dr. Footsteps house) talk to him and he will exam the first Pokemon in your party, if he says it likes you he will give you a ribbon. Anyway, there isn't much interesting in the Ribbon Syndicate
