How do you catch a azelf in Pokemon platinum?

azelf iznt in a cave like uxie and marsprit, but it iznt the one that runs from you when u see it, i dont kno exactly where to find it, but if you go to Google videos , and type in exactly this.. How Do You Catch Azelf In Pokemon Diamond ... (or pearl) it should have videos on how to get to the place to see it. =P

you do find azelf in a cave in the middle of one of the three lakes in sinnoh. (you need surf to reach them). Mespirit is found in lake verity (near twinleaf) Azelf is found in lake valor(near pastoria), and Uxie in acuity(near snowpoint)

second:then go to any of the rivers and either mesprit,azelf,or uxie.

third:go to valor lakefront for azelf. :)

You can with a .202% chance if you breed 2 ditto (you can get ANY of the 493 Pkmn if you breed 2 ditto with a .202% chance). PLEASE note the decimal in front of 202%.

1. Give a Marill a Sea Incense.
2. Put it in a daycare with another compatible Pokemon.
3. Wait for it to give you an egg.
4. Collect the egg and hatch it. It should take around 3,000-5,000 steps to hatch.

LOCATION: Azurill can't be found in the wild...much like Wynaut, Azurill is a new evolutionary form of a pre-existing line that can only be obtained by breeding under special circumstances. Those circumstances just happen to be a Marill/Azumarill mommy holding the Sea Incense item (which can be found in Mt. Pyre)...or something like that. Some people say that BOTH parents must be of the Azu/Marill persuasion in order to produce Azurill, but I find that hard to believe given the fact that Azurill does indeed boast a few hereditary moves from different fathers. So I say breed a female Azu/Marill holding Sea Incense with whatever you jolly well feel like breeding it with...if that doesn't work try giving the father the Sea Incense instead...if THAT doesn't work you can try breeding two Azu/Marill, I guess...and if that doesn't work, try forgetting about stupid Azurill for awhile and breeding something you can actually USE. Oh yeah, and if you need to find a Marill to breed in the first place you can Surf on Routes 102, 111, 114, 117 and 120 to catch a wild one.

In Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, you CANNOT get an Azelf egg. The only Legendary Pokemon that you can breed is Manaphy, and once you hatch the egg it gives you, it will be a Lv. 1 Phione. However, you can't even evolve Phione into Manaphy, so the only reason to breed Manaphy is to fill up the pokedex. So no, it is impossible to get an Azelf egg unless you're cheating somehow.

In the game there is an EX mode which is unlocked by completing ADV. In EX mode the stages have a theme. For example,

Uxie comes out in the Beach and the Rocky Cave.

Mespirit comes out in the Windy Prairie and the Silent Forest.

Azelf comes out in the Fiery Furnace and the Eternal Tower.

Note: If they do appear they will be accompanied by many of one pokemon.

They will not always appear in the stages.

If you defeat them, it is not an 100% chance of befriending it.

Hint: Uxie might appear at the Beach with 5-10 Tentacruels around it.

I didn't attempt to catch Azelf in my Pokemon Soul Silver game. All I did was trade him from my Pokemon Platinum game. It's a lot simpler than getting an Action Replay code or anything complicating like that. I hope I helped!
