It's always mass over volume, so you divide the mass by the volume then that is your density.

mass=volume x density
as the volume tells you how much spaces it takes and the density tells you how much mass does a stuff has in 1m3 space.
Use a mass balance to find the mass then find the volume by V=mass/density.
