Mission style furniture is usually associated with the Arts and Crafts Movement, Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture as well as that found in the early southwest missions.

The descriptive name "mission furniture" was first coined by Joseph McHugh, a New York furniture manufacturer and retailer. Many companies have made furniture with this style, including Gustav Stickley. If there was a Mission Furniture Company, it may have been absorbed into one of the others. Could not find an internet reference to one.
