To check the start operation of a auto air conditioning compressor, install two jumper wires to by pass the low pressure, located near the suction line, and the high pressure switch, located near the discharge hot line. Then remove battery cable, and reconnect to reset on boasrd computer. System should start compressor. If not check the operation of the electric clutch, by also by passing the system connections.

My Mercedes Freon is full the compressor won't turn on?

The compressor won't turn on because there could be aÊproblem with the air conditioning system. You need to vacuum the system.Ê

Does the air conditioning system have to be full of freon for the compressor to engage?

Yes, with both freon and oil for it to operate correctly and engage unless someone has bypassed the pressure switches or relays..........

Why ac not get cold when on and full with freon?

Could be many reasons, give much more details. Is the compressor turning on, etc

Why is the air not cold when the freon is full and air is blowing?

You should have your system serviced. It sounds like your compressor is bad. Mine was doing the same thing and I found out it was a burnt up compressor.

How much freon does a 2007 vw jetta hold?

How do you recharge the air conditioning on a Honda CR-V?

The air conditioner compressor has two parts on the top of it. Connect your Freon recharge kit to the appropriate ports. Disconnect from the ports when the Freon reads full.

Why would a 2001 Ford Explorer AC blow hot air but full of freon?

Mabe your compressor is not kicking on for some reason. Check to see if the front of your compressor starts spinning when you turn it on. If it don't check to see if there is power to the wires that go to your compressor. If there is power you have a bad compressor. If there is not check the fuses or relays.

What does it mean when the AC in a 1998 Honda Accord EX just blows out hot air but the freon is full?

Compressor not running? Check fuses, check switch

How do you replace or refill freon on a 1999 eclipse gs?

turn car on and also the ac at full blast, under the hood you should notice some metal tubing to the left with a blue cap, take the blue cap off and connect the hose that come with a kit along with a freon bottle, fill until the indicator is at the green section.(if you don't turn on the car the compressor wont spin therefore the freon wont circulate)

93 Honda Civic EX - AC is not cold even though the freon is full and the condenser and evaporator just got replaced. What is wrong?

Check the A/C compressor.

Ac compressor wont ingage full freon?

Check the following.......... 1. Power and ground to the compressor clutch coil.. 2. Pressure switches and relays.. 3. A/C -heater controller.. Without the year, make and model its very hard to narrow it down..

Why would the ac system after R134a conversion and replacement of the accum drier pressure switch operate normally at idle for 30 minutes but generate a code 66 low freon within a mile of the house?

Low freon level. When at idle the compressor isn't running at full capacity - so it will work fine. Once you spin up the RPM's - if there isn't enough freon in the system it will cause a "low cut out" to occur as the compressor is moving much more refrigerant through the system and there isn't enough freon in the system to replace what is being pumped.

You want to run power from your home you have a 200 amp in the house to a garage that you recently built you have 110 and 220 outlets The only 220 you plan on running is a small air compressor What?

The voltage for the air compressor is needs to come from a double (two) pole breaker. The size of the breaker needs to be 250% of the full load amps of the compressor. The wire size to the compressor has to be 125% of the full load amps of the compressor.

How much oil do you put into 1999 S10 4.3 liter AC Compressor?

The 1990 Chevrolet S 10 pickup truck 4.3 liter air-conditioner compressor can hold five pounds of Freon. Most Freon recharge kits will tell you when the Freon is full. If the system was void of any oil it would probably take 8 to 10 ounces of oil for proper lubrication. If you are only replacing the compressor, add three ounces to the suction port and be sure to turn the compressor by hand several turns clockwise after installation to disperse the oil through the pump. The refrigerant it takes to fill that system is more like 30 to 36 ounces not 5 pounds.

What would cause your ac compressor to not come on in a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu and it is full of refrigerant?

Possibly the pressure cycling switch.

What is the best way to diagnose and repair an AC leak in a 1997 Infinity I30t?

There are 2 , common, ways to detect leaks. An electronic leak detector and dye. Sometimes both are needed. Of course the system has to be full of freon to for the dye to leak out or for an electronic detector to find a leak (just like finding an air leak in a tire). If the leak is at a connection, you may be able to just replace O rings, if a component (Like the compressor, condensor, evaporator) is leaking it will need replaced. If the system has freon in it, the law says to recover it with a recovery machine. There are 2 , common, ways to detect leaks. An electronic leak detector and dye. Sometimes both are needed. What is wrong when your 89 Ford Taurus has full freon and new ac compressor and it blew cold air for 30 min after filling freon but now it only blows hot air?

Remove some freon. You might have overfilled it. Run car with a/c on while removing it, you will hear compressor kick on and off while removing it (stay on more as you get closer to where it needs to be). Eventually it will stay on and the air will stay cold, check with gauge while performing this task. You can use one that comes with the cans @ auto zone or other parts stores!

How do you add refrigerant to a 1999 Cadillac DeVille?

Find the low side ac port on the 1999 DeVille and connect an ac gauge and freon tank. Start the engine, turn the ac on high, and open the freon valve. Let the freon flow until the gauge reads full.

How do you install an air conditioner compressor for a 1990 Delta 88?

Reverse the procedure you will do to remove it. Have the freon (if not empty) professionally removed by an AC serviceman. Then remove the drive belt. Then remove the freon line(s)and electrical connection from the compressor. Then unbolt and remove the compressor mounting from the engine. htere is much more then just bolting a new compressor. first inspect old one is it full of metal shards? if so all that metal is circulated thru your system. lines must be flushed with a/c flush kit also receiver dryer has to be changed or you void compressor warranty, also a orafic/filter tube has to be changed. if you want the system to last more then 1 month take heed

How do you put freon in a 1994 mustang?

Connect a Freon gauge and Freon to the low side ac port. With the engine running and ac on high, open the valve and allow Freon to flow until the gauge reads full.

How do you add Freon for 2003 Mercedes c240?

Under hood in front of the driver is a black cap that if unscrewed to allows a store bought can of freon (with 134A connector) to easily snap onto fitting. When A/C is activated the freon is added. Some store bought cans include a gauge which may read around 38 to 41 PSI when the system is nearly full. A special computer chassis scan tool may be needed to first activate the compressor due to a complex temperature/climate design that also sometimes tries to protect the A/C system/compressor from unwanted damage when low oil/freon levels might be detected.

How do you install AC Compressor for Mercury Villager 1995 and what tools are needed?

loosen belt remove wiring plugs remove part that has the metal tube going to it. It will leak freon if your system is full there are 4 bolts on the front of the compressor connecting it to the engine, remove them. lift compressor out. this is from the top of my head, so sorry if it isn't exact, but will give you an idea. takes about an hour to change for the average person with proper tools.

How do you install freon in a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina?

to install freon in your 98 lumina you will need to purchase the freon (r134a) and a hose kit from your local parts store. from there, locate the low pressure side of your ac system, usually by the radiator, but sometimes next to the condenser. The hose will only fit on one, so if it doesnt fit on the first you find, find the other. Then, with the car running and the ac on full punture the can and allow freon to enter the system.. That's it! THE 98 WOULD USE R34 AND CAN BE FOUND AT SOME OF THE AUTO PARTS STORES. THEY ALSO SELL A ADAPTER TO SCREW ONTO THE INLET OR SUCTION SIDE OF THE SYSTEM. INSTROCTIONS COME WITH THE FREON
