Taking on the journey of attending college is a major point in a person's life. It is a major decision that can mold the future experiences that are to come, good or bad and should be taken seriously. I would say that is it never too late to start thinking about college. I would definitely recommend that a student start brainstorming about the idea of college from their sophomore year in high school. Begin the process of mentally and academically preparing yourself for this major decision that you are going to make. Focus and pay attention to things that you find are good at and things that you really enjoy and seem effortless. Conduct a research on colleges that offer subjects/majors in areas that you are interested in. Look specifically at what majors the college or university is specialized in. Going to a school that is specialized in the area that you would like to embark a career in are crucial because they will provide ample tools that will help you in becoming a expert in your field. Also, take time to visit different colleges that spark your interest when they provide tours of their facilities so that you can get a visual of how it would be like if you were a student there.
