How do you find where exactly a 1997 Cavalier Z-24 2.4L engine is leaking DexCool from the center of the engine?

most likely your not leaking coolent from the center of an engine. its coming from somewere else higher up and running along something else to make it look like its from the center. the best way to find out where its leakiing from is clean the engine off, then either pressurise the system (use a radiator tester) or just start it and wait for it to heat up to running temp. then after its running look for the leak again. its most likely coming from a hose or the water pump may be going out. In the worst case the cylinder head might be leaking. if its bad and u cant find it, you can buy a dye that glows in black light, mix it into your coolent and wait for it leak and look with a black light. Usually much easier to follow.
