I have heard of welder's being able to tig weld aluminum head cracks, but have not seen it done with my own eyes. Would probably be cheaper in the long run to replace with junk yard or rebuild.

You can't fix a cracked head unless you can weld. it must be replaced with a new head.

A machine shop may be able to repair the head but my advice is to replace a cracked head.

Yes! if you have a cracked head chances are your oil and coolant are mixing together and coolant and or oil is leaking out causing the vehicle to overheat... if you have a cracked head fix it! do not drive the vehicle

At the minimum the head will need replaced.

buy new headers you probably cracked or bent one

An exhaust leak is usually the result of a bad gasket or a cracked manifold. For a proper fix, either the gasket or both the manifold and the gasket must be replaced.

The only fix is to replace the gaskets. Also check to make sure the head is not warped or cracked.

It may be possible to fix a cracked cylinder head, that can be determined by a machine shop (after they inspect cylinder head). Other than that you are out of luck. It can not be repaired.

No, the head must be removed and replaced.

You can temporarily hot glue it, but that will only hold for a week at most.

If your referring to the engine block, the motor has to be replaced. If your refering to a cracked head, the head has to be replaced. Contact a service technician you can trust. a cracked block cannot be repaired. The only option is to replace the engine.

it sounds like a cracked head or a bad gasket from water port to exhaust port it wouldn't get water in your oil if this is the case. The best repair is to fix it right. Stop leak can cause more harm than good.

It would depend on where and why it cracked.

Replace it , meaning the cracked head or the gasket . Neither can be repaired . The head can be repaired if its only warped from overheating by having it surfaced . It is best on the 8 valve or the 16 valve engines to replace with new parts.

Blown head gasket, or cracked head. Do not drive as serious engine damage will occur. Head must be removed, and repaired.

Depends on who performs the repair. Also depends on if the head is cracked or warped. Get estimates from trusted shops.

Blown head gasket if you're lucky. Cracked block if you're not. Fix it quick.

You can shave a warped head, depends where depends if welding is possible. Best bet, junk yard head, get it shaved and new seats, guides.

There is a new Product on the Market wich will fix a cracked Head. Seen this on one of the Car Shows on TV. They say its Guaranteed to seal the Crack......try it.....not much to lose !!!

It is possible, but not likely. You have to pull the head to fix the gasket anyway. Check it for cracks before you reassemble.

cracked head, cracked block Bring it in asap. Id be willing to bet you have a cracked head. If you keep driving like that you'll screw up your engine. Coolant isn't made to lubricate an engine, and your pistons and other items in your engine will pay for your driving it like that. Im surprised your car doesnt overheat. No oil additive is going to fix your cracked head, it needs to be replaced.

how to fix cracks in patent leather

you cant fix it, you need to replace it.

White smoke from the exhaust is a symptom of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Most likely cause is a blown head gasket, cracked heard, or both. STOP driving this car until you can have it repaired or you will destroy the engine.
