sure its not just a bad lightbulb with the high beams blown? ANSWER Inthe 2000 model check these fuses #16,#28,and#26 # 16is a 20 amp fuse, # 28 and #26 are 10 amp fuses. I am betting on the 20 amp fuse. It controls the amperage for the high beams. These fuses are in the fuse box in the engine area. Hope this helps. I had the same problem and after checking every fuse and connection i finally changed the bulbs. even though it made no sense both high beams quit at the same time it was the bulbs.
Defective reverse light switch.
There may be a breaker or more likely a pair of fuses. Yes, they may need to be reset or replaced (if fuses).
I have a 1996 D R and have the same problem. Apparently the flasher switch needs to be replaced.
You have a short in the cluster.
i found out for myself that if you jump terminal a&b at the compressor relay the compressor will kick on so i replaced the relay and it works.
The light switch.
could be bad wiring
You have a broken wire.
check fuses?
check multifunction switch, modules & relays
Checked the fuses, if none are blown then the switch in the steering wheel probably went bad and needs to be replaced.
Assuming you checked all the bulbs and fuses, it sounds like the signal switch is shot.
