Your NAT is depicted by your Modem/Router and could even be restricted by your ISP. the best bet is to contact them and they'll talk you through it.
I had a similar issue myself it turned out that the MTU packet size (how much data per second transfer) was to small. this caused lag and being kicked from lobbies for no apparent reason.
good luck!
The NAT (or Network Address Translation) is basically something which allows your router to share an IP across different devices.
Test your xbox live connection in network settings and your nat type is open
you need a router to fix it sorrymarian4
It has all got to do with your NAT Type. If your NAT Type is Open then it is using WiFi. If your NAT Type is Strict then it is using your Internet Connection.
If you would like to change your NAT type from strict or moderate to open it first depends on your router, (linkseys, Netgear) For both use a wired or Ethernet computer and type 192.168.1.1 in the web address. Then it will ask for a user and pass, which is usually; USER: admin PASS: password unless you have changed it. From then on it depends what router you have so with that i can answer.
just plug your cord into your xbox and into your router and then click join live. Yhis may not work as the nat type may be strict, if pluggingt in doesn't work let me know and i will give you a step by step instruction.
Its different depending on what modem or router you have, check the xbox website for a list of different modem models and to see instructions on how to change the NAT type of your modem. It should be easy to follow as its Microsoft's own guide. http://www.xboxlivetheguide.co.uk/XBoxLiveTheGuide3.php?title=My%20NAT%20Setting%20is%20Strict/Moderate%20what%20can%20I%20do Try this link, they give instructions to change the NAT type of various popular modems. Hope this helped.
The restriction has something to do with your router settings. If you go to blade Network settings (on your Xbox 360) and go to Network settings, then to Text Xbox Live Connection, it will probably say your NAT is Strict; you have to do some port forwarding on your router for the Xbox 360. First of all, find out what your Xbox's IP address is (you'll see it on the blade Network settings as well). Then on your computer, go to the router settings in your web browser For most routers this is something like http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.2.1. The default username is usually admin and the password is password, but again, you have to find out for yourself. When you enter the settings, use your administration panel to enter NAT and then Virtual server. The ports you have to open for Xbox Live are 88 UDP, 3074 UDP, 3074 TCP. Be sure to apply this only for the IP address of your Xbox 360, not for your computer. Here you go, your firewall restriction message from GOW2 multiplayer is gone. You can run Text Xbox Live Connection again; it should say the NAT is open now. Note: Some modems or router already have the ports open so you won't have to worry about this.
To be honest, it requires quite a bit of know how but after a breif search on Youtube(there are lots of helpful videos there) you should find an answer.
Set your NAT type, to "open".
Configure Port Forwarding or open the below ports in your Router/Firewall. Here's the Port #'s and service:TCP 80UDP 88UDP 3074TCP 3074UDP 53TCP 53
YES YOU CAN FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO HAVE A STRICT NAT ON MW2 OR HALO 3. What you need to do is to go onto 192.168.1.1 and go to port forwarding and use the ports 88 with udp and port 3074 with tcp/udp. after saving them you will be able to have possible a open NAT for mw2 or if it doesnt in most cases it will allow you to get into matches faster.
