HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
symptoms
Other than the MIL light illuminating you may not notice any performance issues.
cause
A short in the O2 sensor heater circuit or the sensor itself
A faulty O2 sensor heater
Wiring or connectors are broken or frayed to the sensor or relay
Bad PCM or ECM
The fix
Correct wiring short or loose connector found in inspection.
and/or
Replace the bank 1 sensor 2, O2 sensor
Replace PCM if circuit has failed and no wiring issues present, good O2 sensor
Bank 1 is the driver side on a Durango.Bank 1 is the driver side on a Durango.
Bank one is the driver side.
That is passenger side after the catalyst.
Bank 2 is pass side. Sensor one is pre cat, sensor two is post cat.
location right bank knock sensor 2003 5.3 z71
Bank 2 - passenger side. Sensor 1 - before the catalytic converter.
Bank 1 refers to the side of the engine where the number 1 cylinder is located and sensor 2 is the down stream or after the catalytic converter sensor.
On the 3.6L bank one is the passenger side. On other engines it is driver side.
Assuming you mean P0135, that would be O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1). If the wiring to bank 1 sensor 1 is not damaged, it is probably a bad bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor. Replace it.
It does not have a bank two.
Bank 1 is the bank of the engine that contains #1 cylinder. Bank 2 is the other bank. Sensor 1 is located before the catalytic converter. Sensor 2 is located after the cat converter.
it is the top sensor on the passenger side. use a box end wrench to take it out
