There are two obvious ways to fix this. The first one will probably not work. 1) If it has been pushed too hard and is jammed or won't come back up and is basically being held down the whole time, then don't touch it and wait. 2) If it has been pushed too hard and is jammed or won't come back up and is basically being held down the whole time, then go buy a new one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they are sticking or not recording at all, canned air spray them. The pick ups under the buttons are probably dirty, so canned air will dislodge the dirt. Providing that you have not damaged the instrument in the excitement, this should do the trick. When not in use, the guitar should have a bag over it to keep dirt and debris out of the instrument. Think computer keyboard, which it is, and keep your guitar sprayed out.
it depends on what you need repaired. for instance, if your button fell off, try popping it back in, if that doesnt work, use a replacement, like a really small mencil or a safety pin. if your whammy bar gets stuck, dont worry, i have had this problem. you can unscrew it to take it out, then, put it back in. jiggle it around a couple times, and it should work just fine. but, be warned: if your whammy bar was stuck b4, it will probably get stuck again, so i suggest you only use it when absolutely necessary.

This may sound strange, but its true. Just rub Peanut Butter and Tooth Paste on the disk and rinse it good. Your disk then should work fine! Good Luck!
if you have wii you just connect the wii remote to a slot in the Guitar Hero guitar but I'm NT sure how to hook it up on any other game consoles. i hope this helps
When you push the white bar on the body of the guitar up or down. Each move is called a strum and on Guitar Hero guitar, each strum is accompanied by a "click" sound. Sadly there is no click sound when strumming on a Rock Band guitar.

Maybe they are open notes, strum the strum bar without pressing any buttons
you simply shake your hand on the touch screen (what you do to strum)

Its only on the bass guitar, and when it comes to the note slots on the screen, you just strum the strum bar without holding down any notes.

that's the most stupid thing i have ever heard!!!! just hold down the fret buttong and press the strum bar
Take it apart and clean it.
You press the keys it tells you to and strum on the notes when the note reaches the bottom of the screen. You can use the whammy bar on sustained notes (hold the button and don't hold the strum bar, just press it) for extra points. Lift the neck to activate star power (wii)
You basically press the frets like say there was a green fret then you would hold that and then strum the bar when you see that green fret appear on your screen
