THE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR ACTS AS A CHOKE FOR THE FUEL INJECTED TEMPO. ITEM IS CHEAP TO REPLACE LOCATED NEAR TOP RADIATOR HOSE ON ENGINE. There is no such thing as a choke on a fuel injected car. If you have to hold your foot on the gas to keep it running, the probable causes of this either a non working idle air control valve(IAC), no PCM signal to the IAC, sludged throttle body or a vacuum leak.
