Depending on if you have automatic temperature control or manual control, if just the button is bad and everything else works then you "might" be able to repair it after you pull it from the dash.
If you are unable to repair it then you will need to get a either a used one or a new one.
The new one for an automatic temperature type will cost around $625.00 dollars and one for an manual control type will be around $65.00 dollars unless you can find a good used one from a wrecking yard...........
Just turn off the air back service light..
what do you mean not get recycled? there isnt a factory that recycles air
Push the snowflake button.....the button has a little light that lights up when you push it so you know it is on....
Their is recycled air in the carbon dioxide and oxygen cycle and no recycled air in the carbon cycle.
People breath it in and out to recycle it

You may need to have your front end aliment checked out, also, your tire might be low in air pressure
I own a 2001 Volvo v40 and the interior cabin filter is on the passenger side under the dash. Where the passengers feet would be. There was one cover I had to unscrew & remove and then the filter was exposed. Good Luck!
They can be recovered and recycled.
Refrigerant contaminated with air won't function properly.
