Front of engine, underneath the intake runners. This is for Quad 4 dohc engine. You can just see it if you remove the rubber hose from the throttle body to the air filter.
The timing is ground in the crankshaft and not adjustable.

Depends on which motor you have? V6 Next to the oil fiter above the starter. Quad 4- back of the head .

Go to your local parts store like Autozone or O'Reillys' and find the Haynes repair manual that covers '92 Grand Am. Buy one.

the 2000 Pontiac grand am does not and never has had a 3.8L it only had a 2.4L quad four, 2.2L Ecotec and a 3.4L (optional ram air for i believe 10 horsepower). other cars with the 3.8L include Chevrolet impala, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pontiac grand prix, Buick regal, Buick lesabre. I think ive got them all i hope this answers and corrects your question
