You can always go to Walmart or try an autoparts store and get a coolant flush kit which has all the fittings to fit onto the radiator and connect a water hose to it Also some transmission flush. should have directions with it.
Rust, It is time for a coolant flush.
Too much water/contains rust. need a flush & fill.
The cast iron in the block is starting to rust. Drain the radiator, put in a good radiator flush solution and follow the directions, then fill the radiator with the right coolant. Since you're already having rust problems, put in some rust inhibitor. You may need to clean it again and put in more rust inhibitor after things settle down.
Yes you flush the entire cooling system.what probably happened is that the cooling sustem was filled with straight water and sat for an extended period of time. back flush system until clear water is coming out then use a chemical flush to strip out any other contaminants. refill with a 50/50 coolant /water mix. You'll probably need to take the radiator to a radiator shop and have it "rodded" and reconditioned. Rust sediment and mineralization can cause serious problems that will not be removed by flushing the system. Avoid that problem in the future by using a water pump lube/rust inhibitor every year that you do not change your anti-freeze.
what does rust colored sputum have to do with menigitis
Remove The Radiator And Have A Radiator Shop Test, And Flush It.
If the rust and metal that builds up in your radiator isn't flushed properly then after time it will clog up your heater core. That's a pretty pricey fix by the way.
the hoses leading to and from your radiator might be clogged. If you had a rusty radiator, the rust may have clogged the hoses that carry the coolant. you should check all your hoses and even flush them out.
Just flushing the radiator, no but to flush the system, yes.
there is a radiator plug on the bottom passenger side of the radiatior, take that out and flush from the radiator cap.
Entire cooling system should be flushed to remove dirt, scale, rust and sediment buildup which will corrode and clog/ruin your engine/cooling system
Cleans antifreeze and dirt out of the radiator
