How do you flush the raditor on a 1992 GMC Sonoma Pickup.
will the 2.2 crossmember on a 1994 GMC sonoma fit on a 1994 GMC sonoma 3.4
It is under the housing that the upper radiator hose hooks to on the engine.
I had a 1994 and the same thing happened and the radiator was partially stopped up and flushing didn"t help. The radiator shop took it apart and rimmed it out for $ 60.00 and it fixed the problem.
There are flush-and-fill kits that Prestone makes. It might be more efficient to have it done professionally. I think the cap used on the coolant tank acts as the radiator cap since it mentions the pounds of pressure on the label.
Purchase a Prestone flush kit, a container of radiator flush, and new antifreeze at a automotive parts store. There are directions on the flush kit package. What you will be doing is adding the chemical to your cooling sytem then inserting a flush tee into a heater hose and back flushing the system using your garden hose. Works very well.
its in one of the lower corners of the radiator. usually on the back side.
Look for a bleeder valve on the upper part of the cooling system. Is the water pump working properly? Did you flush the radiator? Did you have the heater control set to hot when burping the system?
Hillbilly way open the drain plug on bottom of radiator (make shure the vehicle has not been ran before you do this ) open radiator cap put garden hose in it start it let run about 20 min
flush the radiator
Look where the upper and lower radiator hoses go after they come out of the radiator. There should be a housing on one of the two with 2 or 3 bolts holding it on. Remove the housing and the thermostat should be underneath.
