The selector switch on the dash will allow you to put in 2 Hi 4 AWD and 4 Hi at any time. In order to access the 4 LOW function you must stop and put the transmission into Neutral, then move the selector to 4 Low. When light stops flashing put it back into Drive.
Any malfunction will cause the light to flash continually.

on your trailblazer dose it have touch button 4x4 if so have a look at the side of trany there mit be a motor there under a side cover that you have to replace or the switch it self has to be replaced
my 1989 Chevy 4x4 front differential wont engage any idea on how to trouble shoot the solenoid on the front pumpkin would be great
Check with a Chevy dealer. Some Trailblazers have to have the ecm reprogrammed for this reason.
