How do you get a 1996 Ford Explorer radiator completely out of the truck?

You'll also need to get a wrench to hold the fan while you remove the bolts that hold it onto the pulley because you have to take off the fan to get the radiator out.

Well first you should drain the coolant/antifreeze. There is a small faucet on the passenger side. Make sure that the engine is cold so you can remove the cap and also so you can hold the radiator. Once the coolant stops dropping remove the upper hose from the engine and then the lower hose that goes to the engine. Be careful with the lower hose since is lower that the faucet and still has coolant. Then remove the pipes from the transmission using a 3/8 wrench, the lower one will spill some oil. After that just remove the fan cover and then the radiator itself. There are only bolts on top once removed them just pull up.
