I would try penetrating oil.
The PCV valve is located in the rocker cover (valve cover) Once you locate it pull up on the hose that is connected to it. Remove the PCV valve and put new one in. Reinstall in rocker cover.
A stuck lifter, a stuck rocker, a stuck valve, a messed-up cam drive timing and a valve impacting the piston head....
On the V6 the PVC valve is located on the drivers side rocker arm cover. Unsure about the I-4, but it should be on the rocker arm cover also.
remove valve from rocker cover remove valve from end of hose reinstall new valve on hose reinstall new valve into rocker cover Reinstall with the RATTLE end towards the engine and the tube end topside.
Noisy valve train. Remove the valve cover and inspect the valve train.
You should be able to see a hose from the throttle body to the rocker cover. The hose may be big enough to completely cover the PCV valve so you might not be able to see it. Pull the hose out of the rubber grommet in the rocker cover. You should be able to see the PCV valve once you pull it from the rocker cover.
Disconnect the battery negative cable assembly from the battery negative terminal.Remove the spark plug wires.Disconnect the wiring harness from the clips, and move aside.Remove the following components for access to the right valve rocker arm cover:The crankcase vent hose.The oil level indicator tube bracket.The air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Powertrain Management.Remove the following components for access to the left valve rocker arm cover:The air conditioning compressor and lay aside. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.The EGR valve inlet pipe.The PCV and the hose.The power brake vacuum pipe and move aside.Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.Remove the valve rocker arm cover and the gasket.Clean all traces of old gasket from the valve rocker arm cover and the cylinder head.Inspect the valve rocker arm cover sealing surface for distortion. Replace the valve rocker arm cover if necessary.
Remove the valve cover. The rocker arm assembly can be removed by loosening the rocker arm screws. Each rocker arm will have a screw.

The PCV valve plugs into the rocker arms cover or intake manifold.
