You can bruise yourself by knocking or hitting a body part. It does not have to be hit hard - just enough to burst a blood vessel beneath the skin.

You get a bruise by bumping into something really hard, something sharp, etc.

What happens once you get a bruise, is that the blood vessel, that runs all over the body, it pops. But, don't worry! They mend easily! Now you know.

You would not do this intentionally, since it would be self harm. However, bruises are caused when blood vessels break and bleeding occurs under the skin. It changes colours over a few days as the blood breaks down back into the body.

Well, I'll try to explain it.

Everyone knows a bruise comes out by a bump, accident, purpose injury.

The injury comes out because when for an example you bump your knee on a metal leg of a desk, the bones and the cells and stuff in the leg of your body have a reaction that cause the bruise to happen.

Fortunetly, the bruise heals so the area you bumped would be cured.

Hope this answer helps you!

Not really. yes a bruise is caused by impact but the next paragraph is wrong. A bruise is bleeding under the skin. It can be at controlled by a cold-compress (a pack of garden peas from the fridge is an oft-quoted form). The next sentence is right - bruises normally heal naturally, over time (very serious one may need medical treatment).

Any hard contact of flesh with a hard blunt object, either purposefully or not, will cause small blood vessel rupture and bruising.
