well, no, you don't have to play a game to get Magnezone. He is in the Cavern Zone, usally floating around the wood-splattered wall with signs and arrows. He is near Cranidaos and Electabuzz. Or maybe one of those bats.

∙ 9y agoRun around the zone, breaking every single crate you see (Except the ones behind Marowak) and when you find all three Magnemite, Magnezone will be around Dugtrio near the entrance to the lava zone

∙ 9y agoYou will need to first catch Magnemite or Magneton, Magnemite is available in the Virbank Complex in Pokémon Black 2 while Magneton is available near the P2 Lab... provided you catch a Magnemite instead of a Magneton then you will first have to evolve it to Magneton and it will start to attempt the process at Level 30 and then you will be able to take your Magneton anywhere in Chargestone Cave and all you will need to do is level it up and it will evolve into Magnezone.
