After catching 202 Pokemon on the Pokedex Prof Birch will call on your Pokenav. He will say he has a surprise. Go in his lab there will be May too. He will tell you he has some Pokemon for you. (You have to catch all 202 Pokemon except for Deoxys and Jirachi which is unobtainable without trading or cheating or an event item) Cyndaquil- Fire Chikorita- Grass Totodile- Water
you must get all of the Pokemon in the hoenn region except deoxis and jirachi registerd on the pokedex and then talk to prof birch and he will give you the choice of 1 of three more starter Pokemon including cyndaquil

∙ 14y agoTrade with Pokemon Fire Red and get a Dratini then put it in the day care center with an opposite gender Delcatty and walk around for a little then the old man will give you an egg. The egg should hatch into Cyndaquil. (I haven't done this yet but one of my friends has.)

Someone else's comment - Not true. I am not sure how to answer the questions, but you can get it as a starter, plus the fact that you can get ANY type aside fire and you get it. To sum it up, he's a moron/she. Google it as i am right now.

∙ 13y agoWell, you try as much as you can at the beginning of the game to be a calm type, and you'll turn into a cyndaquil, (i'm personally a cyndaquil in the game itself), and although i don't remember, you might be able to get cyndaquil as your destined partner at the beginning of the game. :/ Other than THAT, there's no way. sorry. Because I don't think you can find a cyndaquil without that, in the whole entire game. Sorry if you're way past the beginning, but you can always delete your game and start over. Sorry, but these are the ONLY ways to get a cyndaquil.

∙ 12y agoYou can't catch a Cyndaquil but you can receive one from Prof Birch if you finish the Hoenn Dex or get one from Pokemon colosseum or Pokemon xd gale of darkness.
