It is about 30 miles from Universal City / Universal Studios theme park to the Los Angeles International airport. The drive in terms of time could be about 30 minutes to 1.5 hrs by car depending on traffic - So I do not recommend a taxi. During rush hour, your best bet my be the train. I want to go to LAX from Burbank airport some cheap ride in special Bus tranportation.
