How do you complete Ruins of Alph on Pokemon Heartgold?

Getting through the Ruins of Alph is not an easy task. Here is my quick guide in completing the Ruins of Alph.

REQUIREMENTS:

· You must have reached Azalea Town

· In your party, the Pokemon should know the HMO2 Fly, HM03 Surf, HMO4 Strength and Flash

· You must have Ho-oh in your party

· Specified Items are listed below:

- Escape Rope

- Water Stone

GUIDE:

Step 1. Head to the Ruins of Alph. Enter into one of the caves in the northeastern part of the Ruins. Once you are in, complete the puzzle that is just a little ahead of you.

Step 2. The puzzle will form a Kabuto. Once completed, you will fall through a hole into an Unown Area. This is where you get all 26 Unown's.

Step 3. Exit the Unown Area and go back into the same cave you were in before. This time, don't fall through the hole. Go behind the previous puzzle to find another puzzle attached to the wall. Stand in front of it and use an Escape Rope. Enter inside.

Step 4. You can get the following four items in CHAMBER #1: Energy Powder, Heal Powder, Oran Berry, and a Pecha Berry. When you are finished, enter the hole at the end of the Chamber.

Step 5. There will be writings on the ground. The phrase says: "Our clan engraved words in this place."

Step 6. Exit that area and the Unown Area. Go down in the Ruins of Alph to find some water. Use the HMO3 Surf to get across. Enter inside the cave.

Step 7. Like this first one, complete the puzzle just ahead of you. This puzzle will form an Aerodactyl. As you complete, you will once again fall through a hole. Get yourself back up to the top.

Step 8. Once back here, go back down into the same cave. Go behind the other sign and have your Pokemon use Flash. The door will open. Enter inside. You can get another four items found in CHAMBER #2: Energy Root, Heal Powder, Moon Stone, and a Sitrus Berry.

Step 9. The phrase says: "Our clan created Pokemon statue outside." Exit the area and back to the top."

Step 10. Now, have a flying type Pokemon that knows the HMO2 Fly to fly you over to Azalea Town. From there, exit east and enter inside the Union Cave.

Step 11. Traverse through the cave, going upwards (towards a Fire breather Trainer). Go down the steps. In this area, use Surf to get across the water. On the other side, head through the northernmost part. Climb up the stairs.

Step 12. Once outside again, get through and battle Physic Type Pokemon Trainer. (Although it shouldn't be much of an issue).

Step 13. Enter the cave and complete the puzzle. It will form a Ho-oh. You will do all the usual. Exit the area, and in order to continue, you will need to Fly back to Azalea Town and traverse yourself through the Union Cave.

Step 14. Once back into the same Unown Cave you were in before, go behind the side panel and have Ho-oh as the first Pokemon in your party to unlock the door. Enter inside.

Step 15. You can get the following four items here in CHAMBER #3: Charcoal, Leppa Berry, Life Orb, and a Revival Herb. Enter through the hole into another area with letterings on the ground. The phrase says: "We humans need to walk with them. We leave here for the sake of them."

Step 16. Repeat step 10. On Step 11, follow the same routine except instead of going through the northernmost part, walk downwards and use Strength the move the boulder. Climb the stairs.

Step 17. Once outside in the Ruins, enter inside the cave and complete the fourth and final puzzle. This puzzle will create an Omanyte, Once completed; you will do the usual routine. Repeat step 16 again.

Step 18. Instead of falling through the hole, head behind the panel and use a Water Stone. The door will unlock. Here, you can get your four final items: Leppa Berry, Mystic Water, Stardust, and a Star Piece.

Step 19. Fall through the hole and the final phrase will reveal itself: "They possess power to sense with mind and reject outside."

Step 20. In the Unown Area, capture all 26 Unown's to complete your Report. Once finished, talk to a guy in the research lab and he will give you additional reports. Head on to the entrance of the ruins and examine the back panel behind the ladder. A scientist will inspect it and you'll both return to the Research Lab.

Step 21. Visit the same room again and you can obtain an ! Unown and an ? Unown.
