If they are photographs and the faces aren't all that bad with ink stains or the body, you can get a program called "Photoimpressions." Scan your photo into the program. There are tools on this program that lets you "clone". If you are working on the face then you hit the button "clone" and then right click on the color of the persons face you want to use to correct where the ink spot is and then left click and the left skin from the left side will then be cloned to the right side of the face (this works with clothing and back-drops as well). After you have that done, then you use the tool "smudge." This softens everything. If the ink has spotted most of the face and the eyes, nose or mouth then there isn't much you can do.
