My son spilled a half bottle of nail polish on my linoleum and I did not see it until It had dried. I used BORAX (COMPLETELY NON TOXIC and you can find it at any grocery storei in the laundry section) and a scrubbing brush. CAME RIGHT UP and did not ruin the finish!!! Check with your local flooring company to see if you can get a wax or polish to restore the floor's sheen.
Use nail polish remover. Dab some on a cotton ball and remove the polish like on your fingernail.
