You should not try to do this, in many cases certain species of newt are protected by law and if you interfere with them you could be committing a crime.
Frogs,newts and fish
Newts either just walk at the bottom of the ater or they swim
because they are anphibians and need water
Newts (various species).
Non, but birds such as magpies and herons will eat them
Cats do attack and eat newts _ see http://george-online.blogspot.com . Froglife (www.froglife.org.uk) suggest making sure there are plenty of amphibian hiding places -- weed in the pond, log piles, long grass etc. The cats I know that catch newts get the newts when they are out of the pond but I expect some cats will fish them out of the pond too. Some cats clear ver small ponds of goldfish! More on www.celiahaddon.com
sometime between march and july, which is they only time they are in a pond
They sometimes do usually but in creaks and other hidden damp places. They live at the bottom of the pond but sometimes come out of the water.
Newts generally do "live" underwater, but still breath air and require some sort of land to come out of the water
Snakes, turtles, frogs, newts, birds, dragon flies, etc.
Possibly but it is a lot healthier for the insects fish and other sorts of nature living inside to produce more. my family started of with about 10 fish and in 3 years numbers have gone up rapidly.. we have about 200, and newts. Futhermore in the summer dragonflys come along as well as pond skaters. SO My opinion is the longer you leave the pond, the more naturally clean it gets :)
A habitat is where an animal can usually be found. For instance, the habitat of frogs and newts are in damp places round a pond, or marshy area.
