well if it is to a girl or boy friend i would suggest you say babe, I'm sorry but i lied to you about something and i have to tell you. i hope you forgive me. than tell what you lied about and say I'm really sorry but you shouldn't be lying in the first place and if you wouldn't of lied you wouldn't have to admit to it now would you? no!

The conundrum technique is one way to get the truth from a liar. Lets suppose a guy says he was at the movies and his girlfriend doesn't believe him. She can then ask, "Did you hear about that big wreck outside the theater?" He might say yes or no, but that is not the important part. You would be watching his body language and listening for pauses or nervousness. If he gets a certain look on his face (like he is terrified or wants to say choice words) and pauses, and then comes up with the answer, there is a good chance he is lying.
