I'm not 100% familiar with Vista, but have you tried the camera wizard? Does Vista recognize your camera when it is attached?
If so then all you need to do is open the folder that holds your photos and drag them where you wish to store them
I usually plug in the camera, go to my computer and the camera has it's own symbol. It would download into My Photos. If you want you can download, for free, Picasa photo. I love it. It will save and date all your photos. You can email from there, etc.
i have windows vista i cannot download from digital camera to PC
No. The drivers and format are incompatible. Yes but not live
I have discovered that the Vistaquest Digital Camera has a lot of options compared to a regular digital camera. The Vistaquest Digital offers digital still and video, DVD/TV Portable, Scanners and MP3 Players.
A digital SLR is an excellent camera, but it has a lot of options that might be confusing to amateur photographers. If you are not comfortable with those options, a better choice might be a digital point and shoot camera.

Your camera is connecting in Windows 8 because there is some internal sensor. To fix this you need to look for the relevant drivers.
No. Windows Movie Maker is a video editing program not a camera.
You can't connect to your digital video camera with Windows Movie Maker. You can only connect/find a camcorder with the program. That doesn't mean you can't use your digital camera video though. You may need to convert it to a format compatible with Windows Movie Maker though before importing it into the program.
It depends on the model of the camera. There are many small digital cameras on the market. Some have camera mounting apparati and some do not. It is important to check what kind of mounting options there are on your camera before you purchase any accessories.
The only color that I have found the r707 digital camera in is silver. While it has many picture color options it doesn't seem that the actual camera itself has any other color choices.
Yes, as long as there are drivers for the camera available.
