∙ 12y agoProfessor Oak lives in Pallet Town, in Kanto. The only way to get there is to wake up the sleeping Snorlax in the Diglett's Cave (on the right side of Vermilion City), then go through the cave until you reach Pewter City, and then go south, past the Viridian Forest, then Viridian City and THEN you are in Pallet Town.
Professor Oak will be inside his lab.
-To wake up the Snorlax, go to the Radio Tower (after giving back the machine part to the power plant man) in Lavender and talk to the people on the ground floor until a man tells you you can listen to a lot of radio programmes from kanto too, or something like that. then, go to where the snorlax is, and turn on the radio on a channel called "POKE Flute". The Snorlax will wake up and attack you on level 50, so be prepared!
After you get all the 16 gym badges, go to Oak's Lab. He will concede you access to Mt. Silver, where Red (Ash) will be. He is very strong, be careful! And if you beat him, go back to Oak and he will give you one of the starter Pokemon from Kanto (Charmander, Bulbasaur or Squirtle).
