How do you get protection for 3 teens who are being abused by their father if social services will not intervene?

You didn't say if you were related. I found one word in my vocabulary that works miracles "media!" We have a huge health problem here in Canada regarding hospitals, clinics and the such, and if I think the care is below average and I want to get the help for a very ill family member or friend I just say, "We can deal with this in a calm manner or I'm going over to that phone and call in the media." Their eyes bug out because they have been getting bad press for many years. I suggest you do the same with your Child Welfare as I am sure they have had the media down their throats many times and another such incident will really hurt them. Be sure you have your facts straight! Even those of us that don't have children must fight for the safety of ALL children in our society and if we turn a blind eye we are just as bad as the perpetrator. * Contact the National Child Abuse Hotline 1-800-422-4453. Child Help USA, http://www.childhelpusa.org The media in the US cannot get involved in such situations until the authorities take action against the alledged abuser. The reason is US state and federal laws protect all minors from such incidents being made public. Unfortunately it is necessary to advise that any action taken that is not in accordance with state and/or federal law can create serious legal difficulties for the reporting party. Call child welfare department in your area and report the abuse then let the authorities take it from there
