actually from my recent studies i think that rabbits dont like to eat any pointy or sharp cactuses!
My rabbits have taken to eating Nopal, which is unfortunate, as they're green an edible as they come from the ground, so a rabbit can disconnect an entire 10ft tree from the ground in 5 minutes. Definitely not one to grow if you have rabbits.
Keep your rabbit inside the cage if outdoor rabbit or, put lion wee (yuk) on your fence and that will keep cats out or put something rough on the fence so it is uncomfterble for cats to walk along the fence such as grit or something like that.
This is pretty simple really...get a cage with bars that are small enough so that a cat cant get through?!?!?!
Are they indoor rabbits??? If they are then dont let them out of the cage with a cat around or when you're not there, shut the door, or get a bigger puppy pen so your rabbit can run around but be protected at the same time
Take the cactus away from the rabbit. If the rabbit is living where the cactus is, move the rabbits to a different non-cactus area.
You can't stop the rabbits from eating something they have access to: your only option is to prevent access. See the links below about bunny-proofing for ideas.
You would either have to put up a fence that would not allow a rabbit to pass through or you would have to go Elmer Fudd on them.
you can get a leash with a bell on it to scare the rabbit away before the cat can get to it
spray them with chili
usually worms make a cat eat like crazy but still lose weight.
No, the cat would probably attack the rabbit and scratch it to death so never make a cat and a bunny live together.
Rabbits avoid eating chrysanthemums. They seem to know that chrysanthemumsare poisonous.
Hi, Of your cat is depressed i would go and see your vet if it gets really bad i.e if your cat stops eating then defffo go and see your vet but it could stop eating drinking or could just be down in its self you know when your cat is down because you will notice a difference in their behaviour! Hope this helps =)
Stop giving it treats. If the treats are in a closed cabinet, the cat won't be able to have any unless you give it some. When you want it to stop eating them, lock them up where the cat can't get to them.
A cat will stop eating if his/her temperature rises above 105 degrees. If this occurs, a visit to a vet is required.
Put them in a different room. Until you have finished eating
spray them with chili
Eating cat hair, while an unusual and unwise choice, has nothing to do with one's future ability to bear children.
whenever you want it to, my cat eats homemade food, not commercial cat food :) it's healthier too
usually worms make a cat eat like crazy but still lose weight.
Close the door.
TAKE YOUR CAT TO THE VET, IMMEDIATELY.
Put a bell on it. Then the animals will know to run away as something is close. Alternatively, keep the cat indoors.
Get a rabbit eating flower.
Rabbits stop eating when they're ill or in pain -- even a bit of gas can make them stop eating. Shock can also make them stop eating. A new pet rabbit has recently gone through a big disruption, with lots of newness and changes and anxiety -- a rough, stressful transition can be enough to set rabbits off.Unfortunately, rabbits can't safely fast like humans and other animals can: when rabbits stop eating, they quickly get sick, and it can be an exhausting (and expensive, and painful) process to get them healthy again (with lots of medications, fluids, syringe-feeding, belly massage...) -- and that's not counting whatever it is that made them stop eating to begin with (it could be a serious problem). The first thing you should do if your rabbit isn't eating is get them eating again -- you can worry about the reason why (and what to do about it) later. If you don't know any rabbit first aid, bring the rabbit to a vet immediately. If your usual rabbit-savvy vet is closed, bring them to the nearest 27/4 vet's that sees rabbits. Print off the webpage linked below to give to the vet in case they are unfamiliar with rabbits ("Gastrointestinal Stasis, The Silent Killer" D. Krempels). If you know first aid, treat for gas and dehydration and, if the rabbit is still defecating, syringe-feed; go the rabbit vet's as absolutely soon as possible; go to the emergency vet's if rectal temperature falls below 99 degrees Fahrenheit (37.2 degrees Celsius).See links and related questions below for more details and help.MORE ANSWERSIt is extremely important that your rabbit does not stop eating! Rabbits can't fast for short periods like humans, cats, and dogs can. A rabbit will die within 24 hours after he stops eating! Rabbits may stop eating because they do not feel well, or because they have internal problems, or dental problems -- there could be many reasons. If you rabbit is not eating you must take him to a vet immediately! See the related questions below for more information.
