It depends in the type of Diabetes.

Diabetes type 1 is an incurable disease. So, no, you can't 'lose' diabetes type 1. If you need insulin because you have diabetes type 1 you will always be that way.

Diabetes type 2, however, can be reversed by some (but not all) non-insulin-dependent diabetics, through diet, exercise, hard effort, and attention to detail. It was not clearly known that this was possible until the last few years.

There is no cure for diabetes. Not yet, anyways. There are two types; Type 2 is more common, and can sometimes be treated by eating right. Type 1 is not as common, and you must take daily injections of insulin to even out all of the sugar that goes to your bloodstream. Before you eat, you must test your blood with a little kit you must carry around *everywhere*. You prick your finger, then the blood goes into a tiny blood-testing strip you have inserted into the little machine. The machine takes around 5 seconds, then shows you what your blood sugar level is. If it is high, you must give some more insulin to cover the food that you ate, and some to get rid of the extra sugar that is in there right now. So, you eat, and then give an injection, the amount depending on your previous blood sugar level. If you don't like having all those injections everyday, you might want to try an insulin pump. An insulin pump is a little machine you attach to yourself, press a few buttons, and it will give your injection for you through a little tube into your leg, arm, stomach or lower back. You must inject the little tube in with a needle as well, but only every three days. And let me tell you, I have a pump, and it is a lot easier than having to do shots all the time. I used to do them four times a day. Now it's about twice a week. The pump will do all the math for you, all you have to do is enter in how many carbs you had, and what your blood sugar was. Then you can set it to remind you to test your blood when you need to. You can suspend the pump, and that means to stop it from delivering for a little while, but not too long. You have to take it off when you go swimming, because if you put it in the water, it might stop working. And you don't want it to stop working, because this little machine can cost about $7000. That's alot of money! So no, diabetes is something you can't get rid of, not yet.---- i hope u dont die since u have a pump i hear on the news 100s of people died of pumps cuz they dont work right---- Actually, you have to test your blood at each meal, so you would see that you blood sugar was rising, give an injection, and find a number to call or go to a place to fix your pump.

If you have type 2, yes, it is reversable.

If you have type 1, you will have it for your entire life.

But don't worry. There is a cure coming. Within the next 10-20 years, there will be a cure.

With type one diabetes, the simple answer is that you do not get rid of it. It's with you for life.

With type two diabetes, you stand a very good chance of losing the diabetes by losing excess weight and exercising.

Ask your doctor which type of diabetes you have, and his or her recommendations for the best way to take care of it.

It depends on how high the sugar readings are, but you could control diabetes with herbal ingredients like cinnamon, aloe vera, fenugreek, turmeric and chicory. Refer the attached link for dosage and other useful tips for diabetes.

Sadly, no cure for diabetes currently exists, but the disease can go into remission. A person goes into diabetes remission when the body does not show any signs of diabetes, although the disease is technically still present. According to Diabetes Care, remission can be of different forms:

● Partial remission: When blood glucose level is lower than that of a person with diabetes for at least 1 year without needing any diabetes medication.

● Complete remission: When the blood glucose level returns to normal and stays there for at least 1 year without any medications.

● Prolonged remission: When complete remission lasts for at least 5 years.
